My Approach

The decision to enter into therapy is an important one, but the good news is that therapy can help!
Life can be stressful. At times it may seem like you have tried everything, but trying the same thing over and over will generally lead to the same results.

Counseling can allow a person, couple, and an entire family to heal and grow in ways that allow them to recognize their own strengths, and how those strengths can assist them in working toward a more positive and rewarding future.​

My perspective is a solution-focused one that views individuals as the experts on their own lives. I provide goal-directed treatment developing strategies to overcome obstacles by highlighting self-defeating behaviors, as well as personal strengths. I believe the relationship and trust between a client and counselor to be essential for the counseling experience to be rewarding for the client.
